President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday inaugurated the Arterial Road N20, a critical infrastructure project in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), naming the highway after Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka.

The Arterial Road N20, connecting the Northern Parkway to the Outer Northern Expressway (ONEX), enhances vehicular traffic flow from Mabushi, Katampe, Jahi, and Kado districts. President Tinubu highlighted the project's significance, stating it aligns with his administration's vision of nationwide development.

"This road is a testament to our commitment to transforming every part of Nigeria. Naming it after Wole Soyinka, our esteemed playwright and Nobel prize winner, is a fitting tribute to his contributions to our nation's global reputation," Tinubu remarked.

The project, which created over 1,500 jobs, underscores the administration's focus on robust infrastructure and economic growth. "This road not only improves connectivity and reduces traffic congestion but also marks a step towards making Abuja a world-class city," the President added.

FCT Minister Barrister Nyesom Wike expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for realizing the aspirations of Abuja residents. Engr. Shehu Hadi Ahmad, Executive Secretary of the FCDA, noted that the six-lane dual carriageway includes extensive underground utilities and modern infrastructure.
